What We Believe

Students learn differently, everyone is an individual.  Each student can learn much more, much faster with Yorktown’s individually customized learning and pacing program.  All 18-year-old graduates should have at least 2 years of college credit.  Kids learn faster with individual teacher attention and better technology.

Teachers should be made professionals again.  They should work, perform and be compensated as other professionals.  Yorktown pays for performance.   A teacher may earn over $130,000 per year.

Technology can be used to change and improve the educational experience.  Multimedia presentations, universal access, individual pacing and customized learning paths are a few of the improvements Yorktown delivers with advanced, broadband technology.

Socialization is important to long-term success.  Students have long-term teacher and mentor relationships providing positive reinforcement with admirable adults.  Students receive formal social training, similar to exclusive upper-class finishing schools, giving them social grace under all circumstances.  Yorktown schools are large enough so each student develops life-long friends, but small enough so they learn when, and how, to be good followers and good leaders.  Each child is expected to have 90 students within 1 year of age (older or younger) at their local school.  Yorktown plans to have monthly social events including all Yorktown schools in a geographic area.

All children should be able to earn a Yorktown Education provided they agree with the Yorktown values and follow the Yorktown program.  Yorktown accepts capable applicants up to capacity and grows capacity to meet demand.  Students may use private tuition, scholarships, various work plans, public charter or voucher support to attend.  Children of employees receive scholarships “we eat our own cooking”. 

Yorktown Education is a private school chain with national and international expansion plans:

• Yorktown plans for students to receive the same Yorktown Education anyplace in the world
• Parents and students may move from place to place, while remaining in the same educational system
• Students keep the same courses and credits even teachers and friends if desired
• Yorktown schools will be opened in new locations to meet student demand or with students moving into new areas.

Parents are our customers and control their schedules:

• Yorktown encourages accelerated education instead of holding students back like traditional schools
• Yorktown is providing an educational product to students and their families
• Unlike traditional schools, Yorktown does not dictate and control families schedules
• Yorktown schools are open from 7am to 7pm each working day (some may be open longer).

Parents have choice and flexibility.  Parents choose:

• The times and days their children attend Yorktown, we are flexible to our customers needs
• Their children's Yorktown teachers
• School locations
• When students enroll at Yorktown on a quarterly basis, summer, fall, winter and spring: or all year round.
