Some of the teachers applying to Yorktown Education next year are currently under contract with the leading educational institutions across the country.   These institutions include elite private schools like The Hockaday School, Episcopal Day School, Greenhill School and Florida Virtual School.  Teachers leaving is unpublished so we do not upset their students or administrations.  We protect our teacher's and student's information and do not publish it unless there is a specific reason and we have their approval.

Our teachers do make appearances at Yorktown Education information sessions.  Here are a couple of examples of our teacher's backgrounds.

A math teacher with a Masters Degree in Math, A average and has taught at 3 universities, including Southern Methodist University (SMU).  Also has 9 years of secondary education teaching experience including 5 years at the Hockaday School (an elite private school with tuition over $20,000 annually).    Teaches AP math and helps the College Board.

An AP English and World Context teacher educated at SMU and University of Texas with 18 years of teaching experience at an large upscale public school system.  The school received the Presidential Blue Ribbon Excellent Award and he/she received The Excellence in Teaching Award, and has also received the District's Teacher of the Year Award, and the district has over 1,000 teachers!
