Yorktown should become the number 1 ranked K-12 school in the country, according to Newsweek Magazine's ranking method. Yorktown graduates are expected to receive preferential admission to the colleges of their choice.
All 18-year-old graduates will have completed 2 years of college credit and save parents from $17,000 to $100,000 in college expenses at current prices (depending on the school).
Parents regain control over their lives and their children's lives. Parents choose what days and hours their children attend school. Yorktown runs schools to be responsive to parent's needs. Parents can take vacation anytime, without effecting students learning schedules. Parents determine when students come and go from school; Yorktown Education is flexible for parents needs. Enrollments are quarterly with 3 months for each summer, fall, winter and spring quarters.
Parents are given monthly educational updates and may check their child's progress anytime, online. Parents are also encouraged to visit the school, volunteer and be involved. Yorktown desires an active parental community.
Learning is individually paced by student and subject. All students have individual instructional plans based on parent's desires. Students advance more rapidly in subjects they have aptitudes, while receiving more help in subjects were they are less talented. Student's learning is not held beck by their weaknesses. Weaknesses receive the attention needed to become strengths.
Yorktown combines the values of a prestigious private school, after school activities and highly qualified expert tutors – all for a low monthly tuition. One academic year is $4,170 paid monthly.
Yorktown is affordable. Students enroll for chosen quarters and tuition is collected at the start of each month enrolled. Student uniforms are standard polo and button down shirts and other business casual clothing with the Yorktown emblem from L.L. Bean. Students supply their own laptop.
We actively encourage sports, a parent and teachers association and other activities. We will add additional sports and activities as desired by the enrolled population. Our flexibility gives parents greater freedom than any other school!
