Enrollment
Yorktown Education encourages those willing to work for a better education to enroll. Enrollment is done by quarters: Summer (June, July & Aug) - Fall (Sept, Oct., Nov.) - Winter (Dec., Jan. Feb) - Spring (March, April, May)
First, the parent of the child enrolling must apply for a transferable Yorktown Family Membership. This may be done at a Yorktown Information sessions, by mailed enrollment form, or online here. The membership fee and a monthly payment method will also be selected.
These applications are ordered in a first come, first serve basis. If a membership applicant is referred by an existing Yorktown Education Member, then they get an additional day of preference. The referring Yorktown Education Member will also receive a $350 scholarship credit on their monthly tuition after the applicant has taken 1 quarter of classes.
The membership number is assigned at the time of application. The application process will also include a background check. If an applicant is rejected they will receive a refund of the membership fee less the cost of the background check and processing. Examples of reasons for rejecting a family membership application would include a history of dangerous behavior, theft, fighting, felony action or any other behavior that you, as a Yorktown Member, would find undesirable.
Yorktown provides a safe environment and does not allow fighting, drugs, alcohol, sex or other inappropriate behavior. These actions, non-payment of a monthly fee when enrolled, or failure to enroll for minimum times or make academic progress, may cause Yorktown to revoke a membership.
First priority for each quarterly enrollment spot goes to existing students at that facility. Enrollment spots are then ordered based on the waiting list for that quarter, which is based on membership number.
As the waiting list grows, new schools will be added. After the first school is opened, Yorktown will have deadlines for re-enrollment. This will allow new faculties to be added and keep people from waiting too long to be admitted to a school location.
We are currently enrolling students for classes starting September 2, 2008 and the next 2 years.
