Yorktown Education focuses on three things for students:

First, quality academics from fourth grade through high school.  Just like Harvard and Princeton Universities focus on academics first.

Second, developing quality people skills for happiness and success.

Third, something to love - each student should find their special interest.  Student interests' have included: nationally ranked athletes, international rock climbing, television acting, recording artists, published authors, computer design, engineering and medicine.  Students have even earned credit working with special needs children or with other subjects.

We want our graduates to achieve happy, successful lives and success at the college of their choice.

Yorktown Education gets results:

“Your school is providing exceptional performance”, Dr. Jackie Jones, Chairman AdvancED/SACS quality review committee.

More Yorktown students take dual enrollment college courses (as a percentage of seniors) than any other Texas high school.  Yorktown includes the first 12 college course credits in the basic curriculum.

Every Yorktown student, in a dual enrollment college course, has earned a grade "A" during the first two years of our college program.  It is highest possible academic achievement by a high school.   Last semester we had one high school student earn "only" a "B" grade in college Physics after several "A" grades in his previous college classes.

Yorktown Education produces great gains in student learning.  Yorktown is offering $1,000 to the first person to introduce another school with equal or better gains for students.  So far, no school been able to beat our standard.

Almost every student is earning straight A grades for their high school work.

14 year old students have been scoring at least a 4 on each Advanced Placement exam.  We expect some students may not keep up this unusual record.

Students as young as 15 years old are earning A grades in AdvancED/SACS accredited dual enrollment college courses.  Colleges consider dual enrollment courses better than the AP advanced placement system.

How does Yorktown Education gets these results?  With:

“A caring and nurturing environment for student learning that is individually paced”, official commendation by AdvancED/SACS.

Expectations for every student to achieve their personal best.

A calm, cooperative environment where students help fellow students, work in small groups and receive individual attention from teachers. Unlike others schools, students are not ranked and put in competition with each other.

Students working smarter, more efficiently and with new technologies. Students work with a flexible time table that respects them as individuals.

Every regular, and gifted, student who follows the program achieves superior results compared to their previous school.

Yorktown accomplishes more for students, in less time, than traditional schools with “sage on a stage” classroom lecture.

Encouraging college coursework while in high school. Students can save more in college tuition costs than they spend on Yorktown tuition from the advanced work and scholarships.

Yorktown Education can help your "American Dream" come true.
