Dr. John Peper, Ed.D.

Dr. Peper's experience includes 13 years as superintendent of the largest school systems in Colorado and Alaska, both among the top 100 school districts in America.

Dr. John Peper, Ed.D., serves on the Advisory Board of Yorktown Education. He is professor emeritus at the University of Texas at El Paso after being chairman of the Department of Educational Leadership and Foundations. His experience includes 13 years as superintendent of the largest school systems in Colorado and Alaska, both among the top 100 school districts in America. Management positions include the Philadelphia and Milwaukee schools, with superintendent certificates in four states. Dr. Peper’s award-winning career includes Teacher of the Year, the American Association of School Administrators Distinguished Service Award, and the Jefferson Medal for Local and National Educational Leadership. Peper received his doctorate from Temple University with postdoctoral studies including Harvard University, Marquette University, and the universities of Alaska, Wisconsin, and Colorado.
