Scholarships

Yorktown Education helps make private school affordable by:

1.  Charging less.  Yorktown is more efficent and keeps costs down.  Explained elsewhere on this website and in information sessions.

2.  Quarterly enrollment.  You attend 2 quarters and preselect the quarters you will attend.

3.  Monthly tuition payments, as you attend, at the start of the month.   You do not have to pay the full year's tuition in advance, as other private schools require.

4.  The Referral program.  For every student a Yorktown member refers, who enrolls for a quarter, the member receives a $350 credit off of their monthly tuition bill - also known as a partial scholarship.

5.  THE KING SCHOLARSHIP.  There are 15 King Scholarships available.  This is a full academic year scholarship to Yorktown and also comes with up to a $5,495 check.  The King Scholarships work as follows.  First you must purchase a Yorktown Membership with an intent to enroll at Yorktown Education.  When you have 10 other people (referrals) enroll (purchase memberships) you earn a KING scholarship.  You receive:

  • 1 academic year of tuition (2 quarters)
  • Refund of any unused referral credits
  • Refund of your Family Membership fee - while you get to keep the membership and sell it after you graduate.

For example, if you became a Yorktown member on June 30, for enrollment in September, and you helped enroll 10 other students, you would have:

10 times $350 referral credit = $3,500 in unused credit plus the $1,995 cash refund on the membership fee.

You would receive a check for $5,495 plus - the full academic year tuition ($4,170 value) plus - the membership valued at $1,995.

In effect you get paid to attend Yorktown.

6.  The Student Ambasador Program.   This job program hires students and mother for promotional activities.  If you do well you can also be awarded a full year Purvis scholarship.  Check under more information and click on Job Opportunities.
